Why are other versions of Jewel Quest, earlier versions of the game, still running fine but this one ceased suddenly? Why was the game running fine for so long and then stopped? I've contacted the game company for technical support, sent them a DXDIAG report, and they've asked that I update the computer's drivers. And I'm not sure that'd fix the issue anyway. If I reinstall, she'll lose her game progress. She's been playing Jewel Quest 6, loaded via PC CD-ROM, for years. I'm trying to help my elderly mother resolve an issue with a game she plays on her PC.
